United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur launches on its maiden flight, dubbed Cert-1, from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Space Launch Complex 41. Vulcan flew in the VC2S configuration with two Northrop Grumman GEM-63XL solid rocket boosters and two Blue Origin BE-4 methane engines.

Vulcan carried the Peregrine commercial lunar lander for Astrobotic under NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program and a Celestis Memorial Spaceflights payload headed into deep space.
