SpaceX's Falcon Heavy launches ViaSat’s ViaSat-3 Americas satellite, Astranis' first MicroGEO satellite, and Gravity Space’s GS-1 satellite into a near-geostationary orbit from Florida's Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A.
Due to the heavy weight of the ViaSat 3 Americas satellite, which weighs more than 13,000 pounds (6 metric tons), The high-performance mission required all of the rocket’s propellant, leaving no leftover supply for landing and recovery maneuvers.
This marks the first fully expendable Falcon Heavy mission, the two side boosters B1052, B1053, and the core booster B1068 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
